My current exhibition “Fleeting Moments”, which started in mid-October last year at The Pan Pacific Hotel’s Public Art Space, is due to finish at the end of this month.
I am truly grateful to all those who have visited during the exhibition. It has been wonderful to meet many of you during the events that took place.
I would also like to thank the staff at the Pan Pacific Hotel who have been kind and supportive throughout!
If you haven’t been down yet, then there is still time!

And watch this space as there will be more exhibitions coming up this year including a special exhibition of new work which will be announced soon…
I’m happy to announce that I will be back at The Pan Pacific Hotel for 2 events involving my exhibition.
On Friday 26th and Saturday 27th of November I will be creating Japanese calligraphy for the guests at the Japanese Inspired Afternoon Tea. This is also to support the 35th anniversary of The Pan Pacific Hotel. I’ll be very happy to meet you there if you can make it!
For details of the Afternoon tea and booking please follow this link:

Then on Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th of December, I will be hosting private tours of the exhibition. The tours will last about 20mins and I will walk guests through the exhibition and talk about my work and inspiration.
For more information on this event and to register for the tour please contact The Pan Pacific Hotel directly by sending an email to dining.ppsin@panpacific.com and reserve your slot from 2 – 5pm.
Watch the latest Youtube video by my friend Weixiang Tan and you may catch a glimpse of one of my paintings in the background.
Wei has been uploading videos of him and his talented friends knocking out some great tunes in the Tiny Jazz Club, for a few weeks now. If you haven’t had a chance to catch it, then watch the video below and go to the channel for more of the same..
These latest social distancing restrictions have been tough on everyone, so for musicians and music lovers alike, it’s fantastic to see someone willing to go the extra mile to ensure that the show goes on!
Also loving the vibe and the happy atmosphere. Thank you Wei for making us smile and for sharing my painting in your most excellent of Tiny Jazz Clubs. 🙂
The Family Tree grows from the love between two hearts,
like branches on the tree,
we all grow in different directions,
but our roots keep us together.

My exhibition at the Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore is confirmed and will start on the 16th of October, running through until the 31st of January 2022.
It is an exciting opportunity to exhibit in this great space and collaborate with the Pan Pacific Hotel.
I have collected all of my current artwork and have even borrowed a few of my pieces from private collectors. Even more exciting, I’m pleased to announce that I have decided to release a few limited runs of prints of some of my works that have already been sold. The prints on display are framed and individually labelled 1 of 38. There will only be 38 of each print available to buy, so you can own a limited edition at a fraction of the cost of an original painting. Of course, there will be original paintings available for sale too. As far as the originals are concerned, there can be only one!
I’ve entitled the Exhibition “Fleeting Moments” this is a reference to the moment in time that I am trying to capture in my work. Life is a succession of fleeting moments. To stop and consider a moment and all of the links in time, backwards and forwards, which connect to that point, is to slow down time itself.
The exhibition will be in The Public Art Space located at Level 2 in the Pan Pacific Hotel (7 Raffles Boulevard, Marina Square Singapore)
The Pan Pacific hotel is running the exhibition in conjunction with a Japanese inspired afternoon tea served in the Atrium:
Date: 23, 24, 30 and 31 October 2021
Time: 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm (1st Seating) | 3:15 pm to 5:45 pm (2nd Seating)
Calligraphy Session: 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Venue: Atrium, Lobby Level
I will be there on these dates and will be creating individual pieces of Japanese calligraphy for guests who have booked the afternoon tea.
So, please come down and visit the exhibition, or even better, come to join me for afternoon tea!
Thanks to everyone at the Pan Pacific for making this possible and I hope to see some of you there.

A particle of dust sparkling in the sunlight?
Or maybe the silvery wing of a sprite, passing them by.
The power to observe such enchantment,
Is a gift only in the possession of children.

A soft wind rustles through the trees,
catching the ribbon in her hair.
Light hits the surface of the water.
A shimmering curtain between worlds.
Pasts and futures converge.
Happiness is always within reach.

Last weekend I bid farewell to Singapore Musical Box Museum, as it is the last day of my exhibition. It’s really been a fantastic collaboration and I’m very appreciative to the team there, who have all been so kind and made me and my paintings feel at home.
Thank you also to all of you who have taken the time to come to see my work. It’s been wonderful to meet you all and I’ve been really touched by all of the kind messages that have been left in the guestbook.
During the exhibition I have found homes for 5 of the 8 paintings and I’ve also been asked to complete a number of new commissioned works, for which I’m very grateful. As promised, together with the Musical Box Museum, I will be donating part of the proceeds from these sales to a local children’s cancer charity.
One of the highlights from the last few days of the exhibition was a special commission of “Harry” was presented as surprise gift from Hugh to Vicki on her birthday. To be a part of the creation of these happy moments is a great reminder of why I do this and it gives me energy to do more.
So now onwards to Maduro SG! Exciting times ahead!
